Process improvement is a wide-ranging subject that covers how businesses and other organizations can get better at what they do. In this “Process Improvement” course, you will be introduced to the basics of process improvement and how to implement these practices in your workplace. With real-life examples, you will see what continuous process improvement in the workplace means and get ideas and examples of how to implement it. Continuous process improvement uses incremental and/or breakthrough changes to consistently make better company systems, relationships, products and more. There are numerous process improvement strategies and tools that will fit all types of businesses and personalities. This course details specific examples of techniques you can use right away.

Incremental improvement can be as simple as cross-training employees in different skills, while breakthrough improvement could be totally overhauling a product or service. This course also covers key decision-making tools and techniques like process decision programs charts, pairwise comparisons, and multi-voting to help you take immediate action in your organization. Specific examples of other tools covered in the course are affinity diagrams, Six P’s diagrams, fishbone diagrams, cause and effect diagrams, and Pareto charts. By the end of this course you will have a good grasp of how you can begin to use process improvement tools and techniques to improve how your organization operates.
