Unity is a robust game engine to create interactive projects and games across a variety of platforms. This course will cover the basics of working with the Unity Editor. We will begin by discussing the industry uses of Unity and installing the necessary software using free online resources. This course introduces the user to the tools used to use basic shapes, create editable meshes, and convert to Prefabs. We will also cover an introduction to creating animation clips and utilizing the Animator controller. Lighting and cinematics will also be touched upon and used to enhance the look of your scenes.
Finally, we will start creating basic code using the Visual Studio editor and writing custom C# code, with thorough explanations for anyone who may be new to programming. By the end of this course, you will gain a useful understanding of how to create a basic game environment with cinematically rich imagery and keyboard-controllable gameplay.
