Not every conversation is going to be easy for you. There’ll be times when you have to talk about serious events or crises, and those aren’t one-and-done conversations. There will have to be follow-up talks and multiple updates. Also, you may need support from stakeholders for an initiative, or you have to manage conversations between employees. Maybe someone works remotely and you have to talk to them online.
So what can you do to keep communication flowing during situations like these? How do you stay in control?
In this course on Adapting Your Communication as a Leader, you’ll learn how you can become a more effective communicator and best reach your audiences, whether they’re your own employees or other stakeholders. First, we’ll talk about methods for delivering crucial information to people during pivotal events or crises. Then we’ll go over how you can best solicit support to achieve your goals. The next lesson will talk about how you can direct one-on-one and group interactions. The last pair of lessons will talk about how you can communicate virtually and manage difficult conversations.
