Welcome to lesson one on your general page settings for your Facebook business page. We will begin by going to our personal page or whatever page you setup to create your Facebook business page from. In my case it was my personal page. I'm going to come over to the left, underneath the Facebook icon in my name and I'm going to find my pages. Click left and I'm going to find a page we just created which is Mary's flower garden. When I click on my page, I now have all these different options and what I want to take us through, there's a couple of ways we could do this. But we're going to go to general settings by going down to the bottom of this. So the bottom of this list we're going to have settings. And it looks like the little gear shift icon. We're going to left click. And here's the different settings that we will go over. In this particular one we're going over general. Here are the different options that you need to set and create as you are creating this business page. Page visibility. If I click edit, so anytime I hover over the edit link there should be a little pencil that shows me I should be able to edit someone to click on the edit. The options that I have here are publishing or unpublishing the page. Now we publish the page earlier and sometimes I encourage people to wait until the end of creating everything or if you're not sharing it with anybody yet, it's okay to go ahead and publish it. And that basically means that Facebook has published this so that if people were to search over here in our search bar, search Facebook on the left here. They would be able to bring this page up. So for now I wanna keep it published. So I'm gonna click cancel to get out of there. Visitor posts. Anyone you can publish to the page. Anyone can add photos and videos to the page. That would be our default options. If I click on edit again, there is an option where I can review posts by other people before they're published to the page. And, as you'll see you these are gonna be able, you would review these in your activity log. Usually with a business page, you don't have a need to do this. But if for some reason you start seeing things come in that are not as conducive to your business or not in a positive aspect of your business you may want to go ahead and start clicking this on for awhile. And you can disable posts by other on the page. And actually for this one I'm going to do that. Cause for now, I just want us to be posting on this page. So I made that change to disabled posts by other people. And I'm gonna save changes. Now our next one is news feed audience and visibility for posts. All right, click on edit to see my options. Allow news feed audience selection and post visibility options for this page. Basically you can choose people to see it in your newsfeed by selecting audiences history, gender, age and more and also control who sees this. For now I usually just leave it general, so I'm cancel out. Posts and stories sharing. So I'm saying posting stories. Two stories is on. The other option would be to disable sharing two stories. But as you can see if we do this, people can share your pages stories, posts events to their own story. So we do want people to promote us. So I'm going to leave that on. I'm gonna cancel out of that. Come down to messages. People can contact my page privately. Again, I will click edit. And yes I do want to allow people to contact my page privately by showing the message button. Turning messaging off will remove the send message button from your page. It will also hide all page posts with send message buttons. You want to have as much contact with potential customers as you can through this business page. So I'll click cancel to get out of here. Next we'll go to tagging ability. Only people who help manage my page can tag photos posted on it. Again I'll click on edit. Allow others to tag photos and videos. I'm gonna say for now, yes let's let others tag. Cause when somebody tags, like let's say that I post a picture of an event, our grand opening event. And we have several people show up and we've gotten you potential customers who are buying things. And I post some of that information, some of those videos or those photos. And we would want people to tag because in that way they would be shared on their posts. Thanks for watching. Stay tuned for the next lesson where I will show you more general settings. So let's go check it out.
