Welcome to Lesson 1. In this lesson, I will show you the elements of a post and what their functions are. So let's get started. In your news feed at the top you'll always see the option to create a post. So I'm on my home page, gonna come down where it says create a post. You'll see my profile picture is here to the left. If I hover that, it will give you the information about Mary's Rose Garden. And you have photos here that you could add, get messages, feelings, and activity. So let's go ahead and go to create a post so we can look at the elements. In our post, you basically have where you can write your texts or write something to Mary's Rose Garden. Here is colors that you can add, and that's only for short text. So it would be if you only write a few sentences or so, but you could add these different elements. It will just change the color again, based on whatever I've got here and whatever I would write here. I can add an emoji. And here are the other things that I can add to the post. If you've already done the color scheme, you cannot add photos. You could the WhatsApp messages, or the Get Messages. We click on the ellipse. We'll see that we can do a check-in, feeling and activity. And these others are grayed out again because we chose the color background. If I click the back arrow, and go back to a white screen, and I did that by just clicking the white box here. Then it would give me the option if I wanted to add a photo or video. And if I go to the ellipse now, it will show me that I could add photos or videos that I create a watch party. I could raise money, or I could get gift card purchases. Back here again, and you could boost the post. We'll talk more about what that means in a later lesson. But if I wanted to boost it basically means that I would be paying an ad campaign to do it. So I would just click the button to the right. And that would give me the blue area that shows me that, yes, we're gonna boost this post. So, actually gonna unclick it. You also have post scheduling is available in publishing tools. So we will talk about that as well in another lesson. If we come back up here just to show you what the backgrounds. So if I clicked on the little box here, you have all different kinds of backgrounds. And again, now if you put these backgrounds, it limits you on the other things that you can do with the post. You can only limit it, I believe it's two to three sentences. You'll know very quickly when you've written too much where it no longer allows you to have that background. Thanks for watching.
