Slack offers many options for communicating with others. One of those ways is through a Huddle. Slack’s Huddle feature lets people have informal audio or video calls in real time. The Huddle feature is similar to regular conversations in a physical workspace where you can gather with others to talk about work or anything else. Huddles can be started from within any channel and even have their chat thread to message and share content. What is the difference between a huddle and a call? In a Huddle, you’re not limited to speaking to another person. With Huddles, members can join and leave as they wish when they see the huddle icon turned on.
If you think of the Workspace in general, Huddles are among the many features. When signing up for Slack, you will either join your organization’s workspace or set one up. Working from within multiple workspaces is a fantastic option that Slack offers, and at the click of a button, you can create a new workspace for your needs. Additionally, you can customize certain features of your workspace from within your settings. Some of these features include how people can join your workspace, adjusting the language to suit the spoken language of your team members, as well as other settings that have to do with permissions, authentication, attachments, and access logs. Utilizing Huddles and customizing your workspace to suit your preferences are two functional areas to learn about to do Slack work in ways that fit you best.
You will learn to utilize Slack Huddles, create a Slack workspace, and navigate Slack settings.
