Hello, my name is Christina Loffredo, and in these lessons, you will learn how to get started with Dropbox account setup and application installation, whether for use on your computer or on a mobile device or tablet. In this lesson, I will show you how to create an account with Dropbox so you can get started exploring all of the features Dropbox has to offer. As mentioned previously, Dropbox grants all users the option to sign up for a free account, which provides two gigabytes of storage, so you can begin accessing and sharing your files from any device. From a desktop browser, you can type in the following web address to access this page: www.dropbox.com. And from this page, you can then click on Find the Right Plan for You. From here, you can take what Dropbox refers to as their brief quiz and select from as many of these options as you need to determine what plan will work best for you. For example, if you want file storage and sharing for multiple people in your family, you would choose this option: Get File Storage and Sharing for Everyone in My Family. If you're focused on using Dropbox for work, you might want a plan that accounts for that. Since this course covers the free plan only, we're going to select get two gigabytes of space to store and share just the essentials. And from here, we'll click on See My Recommended Plan. Based on what I chose on the previous page, Dropbox recommends this basic free plan for me and shows me its features, such as it has two gigabytes of storage to help me store or share a few files for a quick project. I am the only user that has access, which means there is one username and password. I have two gigabytes of encrypted cloud storage on up to three devices, where I can store and sync my passwords across those devices with Dropbox Passwords. And now we're going to choose Get Started, which brings you to this landing page where you're prompted to create an account. Here, you'll need to fill in your first name, last name, email address, and password. Don't forget to click I Agree to the Dropbox Terms. You're also able to sign up with a Google account, which would use all of the pre-populated information Google has from your existing account, such as your email address and password. Now, if you wanna sign up quickly and you're not interested in taking the brief quiz about which plan is right for you, from this dropbox.com menu, you can simply click on Sign Up from the top right of your screen here, and you will be brought to the main Sigh Up, Sign In page where you have a few options. From this login page, you also have the option to sign in with your Apple account, should you have one. Thanks for watching.
