Learn how you can use Zoom Webinars to broadcast your message to a large audience

Hello, my name is Dallas Pierce, and in this lesson I will show you how to use the webinar feature in Zoom. Zoom webinars allow you to broadcast a message to a large audience. It is an upgraded feature for licensed accounts. There are a few options depending on how many users you would like to be able to schedule Zoom webinars, as well as how many attendees you would like to broadcast to. To schedule a webinar, log into your licensed account and click Webinars. Next, click Schedule a webinar. Several of the options are similar to scheduling a regular meeting in a free Zoom account. Here you can choose the topic for your webinar as well as add a description. You do have the ability to add a template if you have created one for other Zoom webinars. Similar to scheduling a meeting, you can choose the time, the duration, your time zone, if it's a recurring webinar, if you want to have registration required, as well as the ability to authenticate any panelists or attendees. As always, we have a password, which will be included on the invite. You have the ability to allow your host or panelists to have their video on or off. Additionally, how would you like your participants to be able to join by audio? Perhaps by telephone or computer audio or both? Next we have our options. The first one we see is Q&A. This will allow your attendees the ability to ask questions. You can answer the question live or type an answer. Next we have the ability to enable a practice session. This option allows you to set up your webinar and get everyone ready to go prior to the webinar starting. The host, alternative host, and the panelists will have access to the practice session. You will have the ability to use the practice session days before the webinar starts. You are also able to start the webinar while in the practice session once you are ready to go. Enable host control of panelist appearance. This allows the host to set a wallpaper or virtual background and assign a name tag for the panelists. Automatically record webinar. This will take one task off of your list for needing to remember to hit record while in the webinar. Include email addresses in the attendee report. If you select this, attendees will need to provide their email addresses prior to joining the meeting, and you will be able to have a report of the attendees. Next we have approve or block entry for users from specific countries or regions. This is a similar option to what we saw when we created a meeting in Zoom. Next we can enter the username or email addresses for any alternative hosts. The alternative hosts will have the same permissions as the host, however, they will be able to start the meeting if you are unable to start the meeting. So you may want to add any alternative hosts here. Now we hit schedule and our webinar has been scheduled. As you can see, webinars are very easy to set up and get scheduled. This is a great option if you want to broadcast a message to a lot of attendees.
