Project management for a small number of projects can consist of simply making a project plan and dashboard for each project, but this is not scalable once the number of projects grows over a handful or the complexity of projects increases. Having a process in place to collect new project ideas, create project plans and dashboards for approved projects, and reporting on how all projects are doing becomes necessary for any active, growing organization. Furthermore, manually checking individual project plans and sending out notifications and reminders can be time consuming and error prone.
This module will explore how Smartsheet can be used as a holistic project management tool. Included will be the organized intake of new projects through visualizing project data both at the project level and the overall portfolio level. Also, automated workflows will be covered to help ensure tasks are not overlooked and are completed on time.
