The Microsoft Editor is an advanced writing assistant. With the editor tools, you can enhance the readability of your document. The editor will perform varying levels of scrutiny when analyzing your document based on which writing style you choose— formal, professional, or casual. Your document will receive an overall score through the editor, and recommendations will be marked with indicators. The indicators provide a method for progressing through the document and evaluating recommendations. Each recommendation may be accepted or ignored. You can use the document stats to assess the quality of your document overall.
In these lessons, you will learn to use the built-in editor. Once a document has been analyzed in real time, you may use the correction and refinement options to proof and correct the document. Within the correction section, you can perform a spelling and grammar check. Within the refinements section, you can review a wide range of suggestions. You will then accept and reject correction and refinement recommendations and explore the document stats and the translate function.
This course covers using the built-in Microsoft Editor in Microsoft 365 Word (2023) to proof documents, including understanding the editor score, performing spelling and grammar checks, reviewing refinements, accepting and rejecting recommendations, and exploring document stats and the translate function.
