Hello, my name is Katie Lehman, and in these lessons you will learn how to access the OneDrive library in Microsoft Teams, share a OneDrive file in a Microsoft Teams private chat, and attach a OneDrive file in a Team channel. In this lesson, I will show you how to access the OneDrive library in Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams is included in your Microsoft 365 OneDrive platform for business. So if you are logged into your OneDrive platform and you're on the home page looking at recent documents or perhaps you're in the My Files section, you can then look at this icon up in the top left corner that has nine dots. It is your app launcher that will launch all of the apps that are associated with your Microsoft 365 business program. So if you have the Microsoft 365 business plan, you can access Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, Teams, which is your Microsoft Teams, your bookings, Yammer, admin information, power automation. So there are a lot of different apps, and there are even additional apps that may be present for that Microsoft 365 business plan. To go to your Teams section, select the Teams icon, and this will bring up the Teams platform. This dashboard and platform area shows all of your recent activity of files that you have edited. It includes lots of neat features like calendars and invoices, calculators and expense journals, and many really helpful tools that are great in a business environment. So if you have a team set up, let's take a look at our team and see how we can collaborate on OneDrive documents. At the bottom of your initial dashboard, also you will notice that there are files that have been recently opened and shared. So let's go over to Teams, and we've created a team, and if you'd like to add more people, you can add them here or create different channels and start conversations. So our team has been set up, and if it hasn't been set up, go ahead and set up your team by adding people here. And the next place you want to look is at this files section. So go to files. Now this is where you get the same view that you normally would have with your OneDrive account. However, it's located within the framework of Microsoft Teams. The benefit to this is that you can be in a chat at the same time that you're working on documents, or you could be doing another activity or working with your calendar or a call while you're working with files. So it's a great collaboration tool, especially in a business environment with a team. So with the recent view, that shows you your recent OneDrive files for Microsoft 365 Business. If you select the cloud storage and OneDrive, here you will see the My Files view that you normally see when you're going to OneDrive. So it enables you to sync and to open in OneDrive. You can upload new files here. You can start new files with those apps that are included in your plan. And you're able to collaborate on these files and share them just like you would in a normal setting. Let's take a look at my business financial spreadsheet. So the spreadsheet opens within the framework of Microsoft Teams, which is helpful because you can quickly add and share this file with other members. You can link to the sheet if you're in a chat and want to link to it. You can co -edit in Teams, which we will go over. You can do editing, comment sections, everything that you have with the normal powers of what you're able to do and the capabilities within the normal OneDrive account. And it's a great way to collaborate with teams. You'll notice that Excel is now over on the left bar, which makes it easier for me to access Excel files because I have this one open. And if I was working with a Word document, it would bring Word over here or PowerPoint or whichever app I'm in. You will get to see that icon over on the left as well.
