Once your diagram is complete, you will want to share it with your target audience. Your plans will determine how to format your file output. If you want to print, laminate, and hang your organization chart in your office for everyone to see, then printing the way to go. If your audience does not use Visio, you can export your drawing as a PDF and send the file digitally. You can also export a drawing as a JPEG or a PNG, to be used in a PowerPoint presentation, or in a newsletter.

We’ll also cover how PDF files can be a great way to send diagrams digitally, especially for when your intended audience cannot view original files in Visio. We’ll also cover the variety of ways to export and share your work, including how to distribute content across multiple platforms.

It also covers determining the best circumstances for sharing a specific drawing and distributing content across multiple platforms.
If your intended audience does not use Visio or cannot view original Visio files, exporting as a PDF lets you send the diagram digitally so they can still view it.
