While following traffic laws is essential to keeping yourself safe when you’re behind the wheel, the law can’t always protect you from other motorists. Whether they're speeding, tailgating, or just not paying attention to what they're doing, other drivers can put you at risk, whether they mean to or not. That’s why it’s important to know how to watch for, recognize, and defend against other drivers’ risky behavior, along with any other traffic hazards you may encounter.
In this course, we’ll explore ways you can adopt defensive driving habits to keep yourself safe around other motorists. We’ll highlight the factors that contribute to distracted driving, discuss how to cope with road rage and aggressive drivers, and address what to do in situations like inclement weather, or a blown-out tire. By the end of this course, you’ll know how to stay aware of unsafe situations and how to keep yourself safe when you do encounter them out on the road.
