DEIA stands for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Over the past several decades, the United States has been passing more laws mandating that federal and private workplaces adhere to DEIA principles. This means that it’s illegal to discriminate against both prospective and current employees for traits like race, gender, sexuality, and more. Maintaining a pro-DEIA workplace ensures that all employees are able to contribute their best work.
In these lessons on DEIA, you’ll learn everything you need to know to create a positive workplace culture and to keep compliant with relevant regulations. The first module will cover the basic foundations of DEIA, including legislation and penalties. The next will discuss how DEIA factors in federal operations and workforces, like how you can establish accessibility in your workplace. The last section will talk about, among other things, how to measure the impact of your DEIA strategies, creating those strategies to implement them into your workplace, and overcoming possible resistance to DEIA from employees.
It is designed for those working in federal and private workplaces who need to create a positive workplace culture and stay compliant with relevant DEIA regulations.
