In this video, I want to introduce you to some of the tools that we'll use to troubleshoot issues with tags in Google analytics. Things that where it may not be clicking correctly or we may be missing certain pieces due to filters or certain data's being screened out or the tag's not firing at all in tracking. So, I want to introduce you to some of these tools. The first tool we'll look at is called DebugView and that's within the Configure tab in Google Analytics. And it's this report here. It takes a minute to load, so I've preloaded it for the purpose of this video. We'll actually grind this circle here, will actually fill in over time. It takes a few minutes to do so. I went ahead and loaded that, so that you could see this report. If there are issues here, it will, it will tell you what's happened in the last 30 minutes and if there are problems. It's not always the best tool within Google analytics. I, I think there are problems with it. I think it is maybe a little flooded. But it does catch the bigger issues, such as major website issues, such as 404s. You'll catch some of that here and things affecting traffic. You'll have some, some here as well. And that's the debug report in Google Analytics. Now, the next tool I like to use is actually a Chrome extension, which is Google Tag Assistant. And I will go through this report in detail in the next video, actually walk through some of these errors. And then in the following video, we'll actually go through and correct some of these issues that are reported here within this tag reporting. So, Tag Assistant, Google Tag Assistant. Absolutely love it. It's my favorite for troubleshooting Google Analytics issues, because it will give us a good depth of information, including if certain things aren't firing and we'll get into that in the next video. And then Google Tag Manager, of course. And then, of course, the Tag Assistant. They look like this here Tag Assistant and the Tag Legacy Assistant, which actually like better in a lot of ways that Legacy Tag Assistant, but it is a little tricky to use. So I'll demonstrate how to use that in an upcoming video. Okay, so that's been introduction to the tools that we'll use to troubleshoot Google Analytics tag issues.
