When Hazmat emergencies occur, responding crews need plans in place to address any on-site hazards safely and properly. Learn what goes into an Emergency Response Plan, including command and communications procedures, equipment needs, and safe work practices.
In these lessons, we’ll describe the reference and training tools that comprise an Emergency Response Plan. You’ll learn how the emergency response chain of command helps to coordinate different response operations. From there, we’ll discuss planning and procedures for emergency communications, as well as determining the right personal protective equipment to use for different types of emergencies. Finally, we’ll go over safe work practices and the use of ongoing emergency training to keep responders up to speed and on their toes.
