Knowing how to properly make use of personal protective equipment is essential for any occupation dealing with hazardous substances. By going over the different levels of PPE and what situations they apply to, you’ll know how to protect yourself against accidental on-the-job exposure.
In these lessons, we’ll discuss the basics of personal protective equipment and the work practices that govern its use. You’ll learn the four levels of PPE how they apply to different types of hazards. You’ll also learn how to properly maneuver yourself when wearing full chemical protective clothing, as well as some of the physical and thermal limitations of PPE. Finally, we’ll cover how to decontaminate PPE after it’s been used. By the end of this course, you should know what PPE to use for a given hazard and how best to use it.
