Every year, many people can become sick or even die due to foodborne illness. Because of this, handling food safely at every phase of the food industry is critically important.
In this course, you will learn about some of the causes of foodborne illnesses and how they can spread. You will also learn about hygiene standards you must adhere to as a food handler, such as effectively washing your hands and sanitizing your work area. Finally, you will learn about two of the major ways food can become unsafe: cross contamination and food temperature.
