Some organizations follow branding standards when applying colors to their drawings, media, and printed materials. Following branding standards help to ensure that designs stay within the parameters of acceptable colors and fonts. Therefore, learning how to color your connectors and shapes is a useful skill. If you want to apply multiple colors and outlines from one shape to another, then the Format Painter tool is useful, allowing you to apply many attributes to shapes with the click of a mouse button.
In these lessons, you will learn how to apply color fills and line colors to shapes in order to add variation. You’ll also learn to apply a collection of color and line styles with themes and theme colors. Themes are helpful when you want to apply only specific colors and effects to a drawing. We’ll also cover how to format text to establish tone and context for your drawings.
