Course Description

Microsoft 365 Word comes with a collection of templates to provide pre-formatted documents to aid the user in creating standard content. The templates within Word are organized by document type and include letters, reports, resumes, and many more creative document categories. We will learn to use the designer pane to identify format fixes and select a template. Once a template has been applied, we will analyze the structure within the template and the formatting and styles in place. Learning to update the styles based on user preference provides a way to customize the document to meet the user's requirements. We will also change the pre-loaded images and select an alternate image. In these lessons, you will learn to activate and use the Microsoft 365 Word Designer. You will explore the format fixes identified by the designer. We will cover reviewing the structure of a template and proceeding to customize the styles contained in the template. You will also learn to change the images which load through the design template.
