Hello, my name is Deanna, and in these lessons you will learn how to duplicate slides and reuse a presentation, explore why and how to use the immersive reader function, and how to check accessibility, add subtitles, add screen tips, and add alternate text. In this lesson you will learn how to duplicate slides and reuse slides or a presentation. The duplicating slides feature can be accessed through the home tab and then duplicate slide. So the home tab on the menu bar and then duplicate slide. So in the slide thumbnail pane, we would need to select the slide that we want duplicated. So I'm going to just stay here on slide two, and the one that I have active, the one that is selected is the one that will get duplicated. So I am going to go to the home tab and then click duplicate slide. And as you can see here, it inserted it below or after the original. So we can take a look. If we go back to two, that's the original, and then we have slide three here, which is the duplicate. It is an exact copy. I can edit anything that I want. So it's a good way to, if you want to maybe make sure all the formatting is the same, make sure you have that consistent feel, that would be one thing that you could do is duplicate the slides and then just edit them because it's going to make that exact copy. So moving on to reusing slides. So the reusing slides feature is also located under the home tab. So we went to home duplicate slide for the first part of this lesson. For reusing slides, we're going to go back to home, but we'll go to reuse slides. And then we'll see here in a minute, then you do a search. So both duplicating slides and reusing slides are both located under the home tab. So let's take a look at how to do that. Again, home, reuse slides, and then we have to search. So I'm going to go to the home tab, reuse slides, let me click on that, and then it's going to open up this search box over here. And you could put in some text here to look up a presentation that you already have saved. Or what I'm seeing here is these are a lot of the different PowerPoint presentations that I've used for previous lessons. So maybe I'm going to, I want to pull up this lesson one that talks about the different versions of PowerPoint. I'm going to click on this, and I'm going to see all of my slides here that are in the other presentation. So I can add any of these slides into my existing presentation. Let me just pick here slide eight, I'm going to click insert slide. And it inserted below the active slide. So I just took a slide from an entirely different presentation and inserted it into my open presentation. I'm going to do that one more time. I'm going to go to reuse slides, and let's just pick a random slide show here. I'm going to click rehearse with coach. This is from a lesson I taught previously. And let's say I want to add in this rehearse with coach feedback information. I'm going to click insert slide, and it's going to add that slide into my existing presentation. And that slide was from an entirely different presentation. I'm going to close this box. So to wrap this lesson up, I want to remind you of the differences between duplicate slide and reuse slide. So it can be accessed under the home tab. Duplicate slide is going to make an exact copy of a slide in a presentation that you have open already. Reuse slides is going to have you search for a presentation that you have saved that is not currently open, where you can then pick and choose slides from that other presentation and add them into your open existing presentation.
