Okay, welcome back, in this video, we're gonna cover features and settings within Google Keep. So let's go ahead and get started. So we've already discussed in some detail, the way we can change the views within Google Keep, but what we want to get into is these settings here. We're gonna get into these in some detail. Let's start with the easiest one perhaps to do, which is the dark theme setting. And the dark theme setting will darken, if we have any of these color options that we've discussed before. As you can see, they're darker than they are normally with the dark theme, and that just darkens everything and brings your text white. The reasons you'd want to use a dark theme is if you're working at night and afternoon, where lighting conditions aren't optimal for a bright white screen. This can be an option for you if you're working in the Google Keep. But most people won't use this as a default, in most settings, so that's how you enable and disable to dark theme within Google Keep, and the various things that it's going to change is your text, it's gonna change your text from black to white. It's going to darken all of your color options for your notes if you selected those. It's good for working at night, or if you prefer a dark theme, most people won't use it as a default. All right, so let's get into settings here, because this is kind of important in that, when we make new list items, do we want them on the bottom? Do we want them at the top? What do we want to do with them? The links, of course, have not used links in any large amount of volume. I find that display links and notes really just clutter up your notes. So unless you're wanting to have the rich links preview within your notes, I always just turn it off, because there's really not a need. You know what your links are that you put in your notes. There is a case that if you're sharing a note, having those rich links is probably something, if your person you're sharing your links with, or collaborating with is not familiar with that. Otherwise, it just is going to take up additional space within your notes. Dark theme again, it's just another way to enable it in your settings here. Sharing, we'll get into sharing in the next video, but this is where we change our reminder times for various functions within our reminders. So the next video will be dedicated to reminders, how to set them and some of the functions, and the reminder times that we will have as options are changed in settings by default. And I'll go back over that, when we get into that in just the next video. And then enable sharing, if I want to share my entire board with all my notes, then I can enable that there. So that's settings. And as you can see, again, it went to this cloud icon. So that's settings and features. So within Google Keep, it's pretty simple. Google Keep's a great program for its simplicity of function and how well it's going to have all of these tools available for us, that are really easy to access. Like our dark theme, like our reminder settings, times, and if we want checklists to go kind of the order when we check them off, or when we add things to list. And kinda lastly under settings, you have keyboard shortcuts and app downloads. I find that downloading Google apps is often not necessary. There's only one app that I have downloaded out of all of the Google apps, but as long as you can log into your Gmail, you have access to these apps. So in a case where you have somebody that just wants a quick button on their desktop, or wants to add it to their bottom task bar, those kind of pieces, then downloading the app and loading that icon into those areas is pretty easy. Otherwise you can just access it from apps on any device, but if you wanted it on your desktop, or in a specific area, you would download it and then move that icon around to where you wanted it. And keyboard shortcuts, if you use Google Keep a lot, there's a list of shortcuts here. Because it's so intuitive, Google Keep, and so basic in its functionality, I find that often I don't need shortcuts to get around, but if you ever need the shortcuts, they're here in settings. And that's pretty much all shortcuts that Google Keep has here. Okay, so that's been settings and features in Google Keep. We went over shortcuts, went over downloading apps, why you would want to do that, and various settings within the settings menu in Google Keep.
