Hello. This is Ali Green and in this lesson, we're going to create a 3D network diagram. Now and if we're setting up a computer layout, and a network layout for our computers at work as far as the printers, scanners, and everything else that's associated with the use of a computer, we want to visualize the data and visio. We also want to use the 3D shapes to give more detail to our shapes, and just visualize the diagram a little bit better. Let's get started. We'll come up to file at the top, and come down to new, and we're gonna choose our diagram. So we're gonna scroll down, and we'll click on our category, and we'll scroll down. And under category, we have our network. Let's click network. And let's choose our basic networking diagram 3D. Let's click. And we're gonna leave it on US units. Click on create. Now we have our empty page, and we're gonna start creating our network diagram 3D. Let's take a look at our stencils. On the left, we have our network in peripherals 3D. We have our ethernet server, our mainframe, our router, our switch firewall, and if we scroll down, we have more shapes available, smartphone, telephone. So whatever we wanna put on our network, we can. And if we come above our network and peripherals, we're gonna click on computers and monitors. And under computers and monitors, you have your PC, laptop tablet, iMac. We also have our quick shapes, which will be a combination of our two shapes. Let's click on networks and peripherals. And we wanna drag over our ethernet. So we're gonna grab our ethernet shape, drag it to our page cover at the edge, and extend. Make the ethernet shape just a little bit bigger. Now, the yellow node that are coming out of our ethernet will connect to our equipment. We also want to keep track of the shapes that are added to our network. So if we scroll down, we have our legend. So we're gonna grab our legend, drag our legend to the page, and our legend is gonna tell us what shapes. Now, presently we have our ethernet added, and as we add new shapes, those shapes will show up in our legend. Let's grab a server, and we'll drag a server onto the page. Our server gets added. We'll drag another server. So now we have two servers, and we can also drag in some other shapes as well. So we're gonna scroll down, grab a scanner. And we're gonna drag over a printer. And they get added to the legend. And we're gonna click at the edge of our shape, select our yellow node, drag up and make a connection. Look for the little green outline. Make a connection to those shapes. And we're gonna scroll over to the left, and drag over our ring network to the right. And our ring network is very similar to our ethernet where we can grab our nodes, and pull our nodes out. So if we wanted to add more computers, we'll come on over to the left, click on computers and monitors, and we have our PCs as well as our laptops. And we'll drag over some computers. And we'll connect. It'll be very easy to actually accidentally end up moving the entire ring. So we always wanna be careful. We'll grab and we'll drag. We'll make our connection, and our legend starts to grow. And we can see all of our computers connected to our network within our legend. Drag just a few more computers. And if our legend happens to extend, and create an extra page, we'll grab our legend up, and we'll remove that extra page. Again, we'll connect to our computers. To our computers. And there we go. So in review, we've created a 3D network diagram, and as we said before, our diagrams are great for laying out a computer network that we may create in our own personal office or if we work for an organization, we can lay out our network there as well. We've dragged over our ethernet. We've also dragged over our server shapes, as well as our computers and our rank, and we explored our computers and monitors, and our network in peripherals. Thank you guys for watching, and I'll see you in the next lesson.
