Hello, this is Ali Green and in this lesson we're going to add texts to our Visio shapes. Now our text and our shapes is just as important as our graphics and our flow process in Visio. Let's get started. We're gonna open up a file and navigate to our Knowledge City folder for our Visio Advanced file. Let's come up the file at the top, come down to open and come over to browse. And I will have you guys navigate to wherever your folder is on your computer. And once you get to your Visio Advanced student files folder, we're gonna come up to the top and we're gonna click on add text to a Visio file. Let's click on add text to a Visio file and hit open. And when we open up our Visio file, we're gonna click at the bottom to fit our page to the current page. And we have a hiring process for our candidate that's already created. So our starting end, our process and we have our starting end as well, any documents that are required. And we wanna just fill in our text. So we're gonna come over to our first shape and we're gonna hold down control. This is our shortcut. And we're gonna zoom in our first shape and we're gonna report a hiring need. And we're also going to record hiring requests. We'll scroll over a bit more. We'll click. We'll prepare a job description. We'll also advertise the position. And you'll notice that we can actually just select our shapes and just start typing. We're gonna click on the minus sign at the bottom and zoom out just a tiny bit. We'll click on more shapes and we'll type in interview our person. And we'll need a resume for that particular person. So we'll click on this block at the bottom, which is our document, and we're gonna click and type in resume. And if we're in Canada or another country, we'll type in the CV. And we're gonna work our way over to our other shapes and add more text. So we'll select a candidate And we'll make the job offer. And we'll make the job offer. We'll zoom out just a bit more. And if our candidate accepts, we have two steps that we can take. So either they'll accept and we'll hire 'em. And if they don't accept, we'll go back to our pool of candidates. Click on hire candidate. We'll say the end. And as we said before, if they don't accept, we can simply type no on our line. And of course, we may want to modify our shapes. So we're gonna select our no. And if we come up to the top, we're gonna click on home and click on text. And with our text, we can actually modify the shape and add new text. Also, if we wanted to rotate our text block, we can click on the text block and we'll get our text block here. So if we hover, we can rotate that text and we can hover over our shape. Look for the four arrows and drag up our no. So our no is above our line, so it doesn't have to be just on our line. And if we wanna go back, we can click our pointer tool. And this is gonna allow us to move the shape. We're gonna come over to our resume document shape. We're gonna click and we wanna move this text a little bit over to the right. So we're gonna click on text block, hover at the edge and we can move that text block anywhere we want. So it's to the right, it's to the left. And let's zoom out just a bit. And if we wanted to change the text and the size of our shape, we can simply drag a selection over our process, come over to font and simply change the font size. Let's change it to about 10. And we can also change the fill if we wanted to and also change the text color if needed. So we just wanna show that we have the ability to change the text color, but our text color is pretty good, so we're gonna leave it as is and we'll deselect. So we've opened up our visualization, we've added text to our shapes and we've modified the texts within the shape. Thank you guys for watching and I'll see you in the next lesson.
