Hello, this is Ali Green, and in this lesson, we're going to use our brainstorming diagram. Whenever we're talking about our brainstorming diagrams, it's a way for us to take a specific idea and draw corresponding ideas around it. So it's a fantastic tool for thinking out a process. Words that we would hear or terms that we would hear similar to our brainstorming diagram are cognitive maps, mind maps, and a concept map. Let's get started. Come up to File at the top and over to the right, you'll see our brainstorming diagram. Now, of course, if we're searching for a brainstorming diagram and we happen not to see it here at the top, you can always go to Office and do a search and type in a brainstorming diagram and it'll pop up. For now, we'll click on a brainstorming diagram right over here and let's click on it. We're gonna leave it in US units, and we're gonna come over to the left. We'll see our brainstorming shapes. So we have our main topic, topics. We also have our legend shapes where if we have ideas that we wanna convey or things of importance, high importance, low importance, or any questions or any follow ups that we may have, we can actually add them to our diagram. We also have our outline view for our diagram, as well as we have a tab at the top for brainstorming. So to set up our main topics, subtopics, our peer topics, or our multiple subtopics. Let's click on brainstorming shapes, grab the main topic and drag it to the middle. Our theme will be a business plan. So let's type My Business Plan. And around our business plan, we want to talk about marketing, sales, and product. Let's grab our topic, topic and topic. So three different topics. So we'll click on one topic, type in marketing, click on another topic, type in sales. And our third topic, we have products. And in our outline window, we have our business plan, marketing, sales, and products. We wanna make a connection to these shapes. So let's grab marketing, drag to My Business Plan, take sales, drag to My Business Plan and take products and drag to My Business Plan. So all three are connected to My Business Plan. We also wanna change the shape. We'll click on sales, hold Shift, marketing and products. We'll click on all three of those shapes. Come up to our brainstorming tab, come over to the left and the Arrange section, and click on Change Topic. And under change topic, we'll choose rectangle. And let's click on OK. So now we have our marketing, sales, and our product. Let's click on sales. And let's say one important part of sales is the number of calls made. So we're gonna come up to the top, click on Subtopic. And a new topic comes from sales. And we'll type in number of calls made. Let's scroll over, click on marketing and let's say you wanna market for social media as well as print. So we'll click on marketing. And again, click on subtopic. There's our subtopic. Click on subtopic, click on marketing and click on subtopic again. And there's our second subtopic. We'll say print media as well as social media. Let's click on products and on products, let's talk about customer service. Click on subtopic, customer service. Let's zoom out a bit. And so far, it looks pretty good. Now what we also wanna do is for certain ideas that we have, we want to have follow ups. We also want to convey whether or not it's a good idea, if it's important, or if it's low important. So if we come on over to the left, click on Legend Shapes, we're gonna come down to our legend and drag our legend to our page. And with the legend, as we drag our legend shapes to our page, they'll update in the legend. So for ideas, where the best businesses to call or how can we get a really good phone list to call? So we're gonna put the light bulb next to sales. And in the legend, you have your light bulb. We also stress the importance of sales, and we'll get the important sales there. Take that. We also wanna think about best places to print, and best social media platforms. Our customer service may need follow up. We also may have questions. And if we look at our legend, we will see updates to the legend from our shapes, how many shapes are being used and the description of the shapes. So that's our brainstorming chart. We've talked about our legends, we've talked about our brainstorming shapes, our main topic and our topics that are connected to it. Thank you guys for watching and I'll see you in the next lesson.
