Hi, this is Erin Sullivan. So in this first lesson, we will be working on inserting a video into a presentation. We're working in an existing presentation right now. We have a blank slide with a title and layout content, and you will see that we can click to add our title. I'm going to add a title to this slide called Video. And now I want to add a video to this slide. There's a couple of different ways that I can do that. I can do that directly on the slide within the content pane. You'll see there are various icons, one of which looks like a movie, and I can click that for inserting a video into my presentation. When I click on that Insert Video, it will ask me to find an existing video that I have that I wanna insert into my presentation. So I would need to navigate to a location where I had videos already saved to place into my presentation. So if you don't have an existing video, then another way you can add a video into a presentation. So I'm gonna cancel this 'cause I do not have an existing video I wanna insert. I'm going to go to the Insert tab on the ribbon, and over to the Media group. And there is an icon for video. If I click on that button on the ribbon, you'll see that I can insert a video from a variety of sources. So remember when I clicked on it in the content pane, it wanted me to add a video that I had existing. I don't have an existing video, so I'm going to choose a stock video rather than from this device. So this is going to open up some videos that I can choose from that are available from Microsoft, may meet your needs. I'm just going to go ahead and choose this video here of donuts. So I'm gonna click on that. You'll see when I rest my mouse over the video, I get a little preview of what that video does. In this case, it's just twirling my donuts. And I'm going to click on the upper right-hand corner and it puts a check there. And then I'm going to click Insert to insert that video into my presentation. So it downloaded the video, and now it is in my presentation. To view that video, I would actually have to be in my slideshow. So I'm going to click on the Slideshow tab and I am going to start my slideshow from the current slide just to preview what that video would look like. And there it is. So that is one of the ways that you can insert a video into your slideshow. Again, this was one of the stock videos but let's say I wanted to insert in a different video into my slideshow. I'm gonna hit escape, stop the video, and escape again on my keyboard to return to editing my slideshow. So now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go back to that Insert tab. I'm gonna do a new slide and this time, I'm just going to choose a title only slide. Going back to the Insert tab, over to the Media group and click on Video. And then this time, I'm going to choose an online video from a variety of online sources. So if I had a video that I knew I wanted to insert that was on YouTube or another online video source, all I would need to do would be to enter the address for the online video and then I would press Insert and that video would be added into my presentation as well. I don't have a address to show you right now so I'm just gonna go ahead and click Cancel on that. So there are the three different places that you can find videos, and again, the different ways that you can insert a video. If you have a new slide with title and content, you can insert a video from the icon that is asking you to look for a video that you have saved on your device or from the Insert tab in the Media group, if you click on the dropdown arrow for video, it will give you the choice of inserting it from this device. Again, that would be a saved video. One of the stock videos, like that donut video we inserted. Or if you have a URL of a specific video that you wanna insert from YouTube or some other online video source, maybe a business or personal video source that you want to insert into your presentation, then you would choose online videos and be able to insert a video from a URL.
