Hello, my name is Bob Akbar, and in these lessons, you will learn collaboration, which consists of co-authoring and multiple users, sharing to notes, and exporting to other Microsoft softwares. In this lesson, I will show you how to do co-authoring and multiple users. The traditional way of sharing files is to have a mapped network drive or to use a flash drive to share between users. However, with the advances in Microsoft Office, you can now share using your OneDrive, and this can be shared between different users so that they can access the files. You can also attach it into an email as an Excel worksheet or a PDF work file. When it comes to putting comments, which are like conversations or notes, which are like sticky post-em notes, these are the methods of doing this properly. For example, the comments are available here, as well as under review. You can put new comments, show comments, previous comments, and so forth. As I said, this is similar to the messenger system that you have on your telephone or on your social media. So, let's go and click on the comments here, and it brings up a conversation, and if you notice, you can link it to something and it's under new, so you can have it based on something that you're going to discuss. We're going to click on our H header here, B1. We're going to click on new, and I'm going to ask a question from my co-authors, and this is asking them if this is a good idea to post this information. It may be for social science experiments or some other thing that does want the agent there to compare the agent the distance. However, it's just a question that I have. Now, I can post my comment here or press control enter to post it, and there it is, and anybody who replies will be part of the thread, which is the continuation of the conversation, and the notes will be posted on here. Next, we're going to take a look at actually putting notes. We can put notes on different things, so let's put one on the prize money, and you will notice that the box comes up, you can change your username, and you can put your comment underneath, and there we go. There is one comment. Now you notice the comments versus the notes, the comments are in purple when you hold the mouse over them, they show up, you can edit them, you can do other functions with them, and the red ones are like the sticky notes that we're putting on there, they're notes, there it is, and they are not part of the thread where it's a continuing conversation. This is more something where an editor might put notes on there. When it comes to being collaborators on a document, you would more than likely use comments, because you will have an ongoing discussion as far as what is going on. You can also put notes outside of a specific area, and you see here it can go through the notes, and you can see all the notes, you can convert them to comments, you can do next, previous, and new notes. So we're going to do just a new note on the outside, and there we are. I have left just a note for the person who's going to review this document as a reviewer, saying that I think they did a great job.
