In this lesson, you will learn how to use the fill and sign PDF tool within Adobe Acrobat Pro. So let's go ahead and get started. As you can see, I'm on my Adobe Acrobat Pro now just as I would've opened the application. I currently do not have any PDFs open, I just have the application open. So the first thing you're going to do before we move on to the fill and sign option is to ensure that you're signed in correctly and that your Adobe Acrobat Pro is ready to go. To do this, you're going to navigate up to the top right-hand corner of the application, and you're going to look at the profile bubble. The profile bubble will indicate that you're signed in. You can click on this profile bubble, and it will give you your information and your account name, preferences, and the option to sign out. This indicates that you're currently signed in correctly. You can double-check your name and your username to make sure that you are on the right account. Once you've done this, you can simply navigate away from the profile bubble, click into Adobe Acrobat Pro, and you will notice that that profile bubble now has closed. So now let's go ahead and find the fill and sign tool. We're gonna find the fill and sign tool first before we open a PDF. To do this, we're going to simply navigate up to the top left-hand side and click on the tools tab. When you click on the tools tab, you'll notice that you're prompted through a process of selecting the tool that you wish to open. For purposes of this demonstration, we are going to select the fill and sign option. Fill and sign is located under forms and signatures. You're gonna go ahead and click the open option under that tool, and you will notice that it prompts us to select a file. Now we can go ahead and open up our file. To open up a file, we're gonna select the blue select a file button, and you will notice that it asks us to select an editable PDF file. So to do this, we're gonna go ahead and click on our Sample Adobe Document.pdf. And we're gonna go out and click the blue open button at the bottom right-hand side of the pop-out window, and you will notice that now our document has popped up within the application. You'll also notice that you might be prompted through a process of pop-out windows that indicate certain features that might go well with your document. You can simply close out of these pop-out windows by using the X option that's located on the upper right-hand side. Now, another thing that you can do is you can always adjust your view of your documents. As a reminder, to adjust your view, you will simply navigate up to the percentage range that's located on the top toolbar, and you can either hit the dropdown menu, which indicates what zoom you would like to set, or you can navigate one to the right, and you can indicate the page style. When you click the more tools option, you notice that you can fit to width scrolling or fit one page. For purposes of this demonstration, we're gonna go ahead and click fit one page, and you will notice that the view has changed on our document. Now you'll also notice that we're on the fill and sign tool. We know that we're on the fill and sign tool because you can see the title fill and sign that's located at the upper left-hand side of this toolbar. You'll also notice that now our document has certain blue highlights as well. The blue highlights indicate areas that Adobe Acrobat has recognized as fill and sign. When you open a PDF, automatically fill and sign allows you to create spaces that are automatically editable for others or for yourself. In this case, we've got a sign option, and we have also the statement option that's editable. You'll notice that when we click on the blue lines, we now have our cursor that's blinking that indicates that we can add text. This is an introduction on how to use and open the fill and sign tool for your PDFs in Adobe Acrobat. In the next lesson, we'll be looking at some careful collaboration with the fill and sign tool and creating documents from scratch and applying the fill and sign tool.
