In this video, we will review Power BI Options. Let's get started, let's navigate to Power BI Options and settings. First we'll go to file, options and settings and click on options. Here we're presented with the Power BI global and file-based options. We can see global options that applied to new Power BI desktop files, that could be turned on and off and file specific options and settings. We see that we can set properties to allow Power BI to detect column type headers for unstructured data, we can automate date and time to generate a hierarchy when used in reporting using the time intelligence auto date time. Furthermore, we can clear cache, which is helpful oftentimes when we're troubleshooting a problem and we need to clear the cache within Power BI desktop. In the power query editor, we can configure options to display the query settings pane, formula bar, monospaced font, white space and new line characters as well as enable Parameters and IntelliSense. In addition, there are settings for R and Python scripting to check the installation of R and Python connected to Power BI. You can set specific security properties and privacy levels for each data source using the security and privacy tabs. In the regional settings, you can change the default language displayed. In the update section, you can enable or disable notifications when Power BI desktop new version is available. You can enable or disable sending Microsoft usage data in this particular property, and diagnostic settings, you can enable or disable tracing geocache or geocoding cache rather, crashed on collection and query diagnostics. And in the previous features, you'll see Power BI desktop preview features that are not yet available in general use which you can enable or disable by clicking on the checkbox. There are settings for also auto recovery to store information every specified minutes, as well as the recovery path location. In the current file settings, you can disable or enable cross filtering and highlighting under the current file and query reduction. You can also set instantly a place Eisler or require an apply button for each of the filter on the entire filters pane. There are options in the report settings to allow filters to persist in powerbi.com, Also to export summarized and underlying data as well as options to allow users rather to change filters and search within the filters page. You can also set cross report drill through and allow personalized visualizations for end-users.
