Hello, welcome to Intermediate Visio. In this lesson, we want to explore how we can manage our Visio windows. And the great news about the Visio client, especially when you get beyond Visio 2016, is that Microsoft has tried very hard to ensure that Visio has a very similar interface to the other Microsoft desktop applications, like Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This is why when it comes to managing your windows in Visio, especially when you have multiple drawings open, you're going to see similar tools to what you would see in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The way that you want to manage your Visio windows is accessible from the View ribbon tab. When we come to the View ribbon tab, we're going to have a very familiar group of buttons called the Window group. And this is going to have buttons like the Switch Windows button that you can use to switch between multiple drawings that you may have open in Visio, and it lets you flip between them. Also, you have your traditional Cascade button that allows you to take each drawing that you have open and have it be open up in the top left corner, and then you can toggle between them. There's also the Arrange All that will let you see all of your drawings. Remembering the only one can be active at a time. And the way you pick a different one is to click on it, and then that particular drawing comes forward or as the one that's active. Additionally, you also have New Window, which allows you to basically open up a new blank window in whatever view you're currently in. And then you can utilize either the Minimize or the Maximize button to bring that particular drawing or new window forward. But these are the exact same window organizational tools that you have in, again, the other Microsoft desktop applications, like Word, Excel and PowerPoint. So we're really not learning anything new here. We're using tools that we already have in the other applications. And again, it's part of Microsoft's journey to help make managing windows within their applications consistent across the Microsoft desktop family. Thanks so much for watching. In the next lesson, we're going to look at different items within the Visio interface that you can turn off and turn on. Stay tuned.
