Hello welcome to this course on Microsoft Visio. In this course, we're actually going to explore Visio online which is part of the Office 365 suite of applications. Now, Visio does not come with the normal licensing with Office 365. It does require an additional monthly subscription or yearly fee. There are two different plans, Visio plan one and Visio plan two. They can be as inexpensive as $5 a month and go up from there. With Visio plan one, you're going to get the ability to create very simple diagrams. You also get two gigabytes of OneDrive storage to go with your online Visio plan. With the Visio plan two, you get a wider array of tools and it's more of a level plan made for professional business in IT diagrams. But really what we're going to show you in this course is going to entail bold plans, the Visio plan one and two. And right now I'm logged into Office 365 and I want you to see here that Visio is part of my Office 365 account. I can see it here and it's important to recognize what the Visio logo looks like. So where are other places that we can find doorways to Visio from the Office 365 portal once we're logged in. Of course in the top left hand corner, you have the app launcher. When you click here, you'll see that Visio will be available if it is not, you can go to all apps and of course, come right here and look for it alphabetically. Now I've already pinned Visio to the top of my app launcher but if I haven't I could always say pin right here. It says unpinned because it's already there. Additionally, when I'm not looking at the app launcher, notice I can also go to the top of my Office 365 portal and actually type in Visio right there and look for it right there from the top of the homepage and when I select Visio online it will open up a new browser tab and my Visio online application will be launched inside of it. So when it comes to navigating, I can always get back to my Office 365 homepage just by clicking right here or I can go back to Visio by clicking on the tab representing Visio online. So opening and closing online applications in Office 365 is really easy. Stay tuned for the next lesson where we're going to explore how to create a drawing using Visio online.
