Driving a commercial vehicle requires you to be alert, aware, and able to make quick judgments at a moment’s notice. But failing to get a healthy amount of sleep each night can seriously impair these abilities, which puts not only drivers at risk, but everyone else around them, as well. Fortunately, there are a number of habits drivers can adopt to help them manage or minimize fatigue.
In this course, we'll discuss the factors that contribute to driver fatigue, the dangers of driving while fatigued, and what steps drivers can take to counter the effects of fatigue at home and on the road. You’ll also learn the importance of good sleep habits to ensure you’re able to get a healthy amount of sleep each night. By the end of this course, you’ll know how to keep yourself safe on the road by understanding the impacts of driver fatigue and how to prevent them.
