While anger is a common and natural part of being human, everyone has their own unique tolerances and triggers that lead to feelings of anger. Anger doesn’t arise from nothing; and by exploring your own history with anger, you can better anticipate when your anger is escalating. Acknowledging when you’re getting angry is insightful, but you can also develop skills to effectively deal with your anger. This is crucial to improving your self-awareness and relationships within and outside the work environment.
In this course, Handling Anger, we’ll discuss ways to explore our anger, our sensitivities to it, and they ways we express it. We’ll go over some basic techniques to use when you find your anger escalating, as well as techniques for dealing with any colleagues who express their anger inappropriately.
