Exporting is a large part of doing business. The United States has regulations that control exporting. This course will go over these regulations and what your organization needs to do to remain in compliance with these regulations. You will learn how to identify if you need a license to export your product, as well as how to recognize how fulfilling certain orders may violate export control regulations.
You will go over the basics of exporting and its associated terminology, list types, and the three major export control regulations—like E.A.R. and I.T.A.R.—as well as how to recognize red flags. Then you will move on to regulations, exploring the different types of regulations, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, and what entities are excluded from the E.A.R. and I.T.A.R.
After that, you will dive into export compliance programs, learning about how their management programs encourage compliance, how risk is assessed, the systems behind export authorization, and the requirements behind recordkeeping. The last lessons will explain how training is a key factor of export compliance, the role of audits in compliance, how to handle violations, and keeping a compliance manual.
