It is for workers in industrial facilities who handle or may be exposed to hazardous materials and need to understand HAZCOM standards and how to manage workplace hazards.
It covers the different kinds of hazards and hazardous materials you are likely to encounter on a work site, including toxins, corrosives, irritants, carcinogens, radioactive materials, flammables, combustibles, and oxidizers.
You will learn how to identify, report, and avoid industrial work site hazards, what to do if exposed to a potentially hazardous material, and your own and your employer's responsibilities when handling such materials.
The course is organized into lessons including Introduction, Sources of HAZMAT Information, Exposure to HAZMAT, the different hazard categories, PPE and Safe Storage, Responding to a Spill, and a Conclusion.
