UX design. UI design. What do those mean? Many people incorrectly use those acronyms interchangeably. UX and UI design are two different things. UI stands for user interface. This is about what you see on an application screen such as text, colors, background, icons, graphics, and animations. UI overlaps with graphic design. But UX is a user experience. This focuses on the user and how the user moves through the application. A UX designer removes any possible areas of friction the user may experience as they are moving through your application. UX designers need to make the product or application usable, enjoyable, and accessible to users. He or she needs to know about methods and tools for studying a user's behavior. A user's individual experience is his or her conscious opinion of your application, website, or product. When working as a UX designer, you will need to obtain user feedback, know how to evaluate it, and implement it into your site or product. You will need to do research to comprehend your users. You will need to develop ideas and interactions that solve the users' needs. These implemented ideas will need to be evaluated in the real world to determine if they're working. A UX designer, in a nutshell, creates products and websites that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users. It involves acquiring and integrating the products including branding, design, usability, and function. The whole process of UX design is used by design teams to create products that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users. Designers cannot control a person's perceptions nor their responses. For example, UX designers cannot control how someone feels, how someone moves their fingers or controls their eyes as they navigate a website. However, UX designers can control how the website behaves and looks. As a UX designer, you should Consider the why, what, and how of product use. The why involves the user's motivations for adopting a product, whether they relate to a task they wish to perform with it or to values and views that users associate with the ownership and use of the website. The what addresses the things people can do with the product, its functionality. Finally, the how relates to the design of functionality in an accessible and aesthetically pleasing way. UX designers start with the why before determining the what and then, finally, the how to create products that users can form meaningful experiences with. Since UX design encompasses the entire user journey, it's a multidisciplinary field. UX designers come from various backgrounds such as visual design, programming, psychology, and interaction design. To design for human users also means working with a heightened scope regarding accessibility and accommodating many potential users' physical limitations, such as reading small text. In UX designers, typical tasks vary, but often include user research, creating personas, designing wireframes and interactive prototypes, and testing designs. These tasks can vary significantly from one organization to the next, but still they always demand designers to be the users' advocates and keep their needs at the center of all design and development efforts. That's also why most UX designers work in some form of user-centered work process, and keep channeling their best-informed efforts until they address all of the relevant issues and user needs optimally.
