This course is designed for employees, covering Delaware sexual harassment prevention, including who the new law applies to, who is exempted and under what circumstances, and employee rights and protections.
It explores Delaware House Bill 360 (H.B. 360) and its added provisions against sex-based discrimination, including the definition of sexual harassment and prohibited behaviors, the Delaware Sexual Harassment Notice, employee training requirements, restrictions on employer retaliation, and how to report a claim and the Delaware Department of Labor investigative process.
The course explains sexual harassment, quid pro quo, sexual assault, hostile work environment, and sexual harassment behaviors in remote work environments, with examples provided.
It addresses Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, federal law updates from 2022, the Delaware Discrimination in Employment Act (DDEA), and Delaware House Bill 360 (H.B. 360).
The course covers an employee's options, filing a complaint, documentation and recordkeeping, what to expect after filing a complaint, and when an employer is liable.
