Hello. In this chapter, we will be exploring the Blue Griffon application. This is a what you see is what you get application and is used to quickly develop and deploy websites. We will also take a look at the CSS Analyzer and CSS Stat utilities to help improve CSS implementations. Blue Griffon is a full-featured application that allows for the building of websites, using build as you go functionality. Let's start by taking a look at the user interface. Look at the user interface. Once we come into the application, we have the standard file menu across the top, application menu across the top. File, you can open, save, close, new files or windows; edit existing documents via toolbars and source views; insert images, links, anchors, video, audio, form, other HTML five elements; format your content, insert tables, your panel control. On the right side, you can open up style sheet views. Right now, we have this style sheet panel open over here. And then your Tools menu with add-ons, preferences, and your Help menu. Across the top, we also have icon-driven controls where we can add templates, insert images, insert new tables, insert audio, insert video files, right, or preview in a browser. Along the left side is the icons for controlling the content once you have your content built in Blue Griffon. Things like align center, align right, definition descriptions, insert your text, indent text and outdent text, or insert double quotes around your text. Down the bottom of the application window, you have your view panels. Dual View will allow us to view both our what you see is what you get window as well as our HTML window. What you see is what you get tab will only show you the drop type windows when you're in building out your website. Source will show you a pure HTML, and then you have a print preview. You can also zoom in, zoom out your window. It's a very simplified interface, not too complicated at all. All right, thank you for joining. Next we will begin by building out our first web pages in Blue Griffon.
